The Lasvit showroom can be found in a part of Prague known as Holešovice, where it is emerged into an environment of world-class design. It is positioned on the second floor of the “Holport” building complex which was formerly used as the headquarters of the Czech branch of Vitra and is now also home to such companies as Konsepti, Kartell and Artemide. The room was in a shell & core state when we got confronted with the task to create the pilot showroom of the today global brand. Primarily, we were interested in the product itself, how it will behave in the given space and how we can create the best and at the same time rather calm but interesting environment so to stress and bring out the brands fine qualities.

One important issue for the design of the interior was to show the development of glass products used in architecture which were started by Lasvit. Our ambition was to present these products in ways in which they could be used in several projects around the world.

The shady almost theater like atmosphere is created by a system of sliding doors which are manufactured out of Clipso and a skylight covered with transparent and perforated Barrisol. The entire interior is then complimented by several atypical built-in bodies of white furniture
